Automatic Tube Cutter with Pneumatically Actuated Blade

Technical Data:

  • Fully programmable, precision cut-to-length tube cutter for corrugated paper tubing with two layer inserts of 0.002" thick steel sheet metal. The cutter uses Hardened High Speed Blades and is actuated pneumatically.
  • Manually started with automatic Servo Feeder provides a precision of cutting up to +\- 0.015" at a production rate of up to 30,000 tubes/day.

Custom Designed for a manufacturer of flexible steel tubing for the automotive industry.
  • Simple and quick tooling changes enable the operator to change jobs easily. The cutter can be built to cut tubing or hoses with OD from 0.250" to 2.5". The cutter can be modified, if necessary, to cut tubing, hoses or bars from a large variety of materials and shapes with an OD up to 4". The Cutter has been successfully tested for rubber, paper and plastic hoses, bars and tubing.
  • The PLC logic provides the operator with a self-system diagnostic, remedy solutions and full display of production data.
