Automatic Tube Winding Machine with Tension Control

Technical Data:

  • Fully automated, two-station coiler for split corrugated plastic tubing used on cars for wire harness protection. Installed in the production line directly after the extruder, it provides automatic speed and tension control in order to avoid any stretching of the freshly extruded tube.
  • Precise Servo Drive motion controls and a full spool interface minimize operator presence. The double spool capability, together with an easily unlocking and rotating winder mechanism simplifies and reduces the time for full spool exchange to only a few seconds.

Custom Designed for a manufacturer of split corrugated plastic tubing for the automotive industry.
  • The "umbrella" type of fold-unfold mechanism permits easy tying and removal of the tube coil out of the Winder.
  • The new winder increases substantially the quality of the tubes and the consistency in the parameters.
  • The machine works three shifts seven days per week, providing reliable and efficient tube coiling.
